  • WSSU Mobile Unit Volunteers Needed

    Volunteers are needed for the mobile unit on the following dates. Please contact Dr. Cecil Holland (Associate Dean and Rho Lambda Board Member) if you are interested in volunteering. hollandc@wssu.edu

    • March 18th (Saturday) 11am-5pm - C25 HUB Launch, 4130 Oak Ridge Dr. WSNC 27105 (NAACP Building) & Carl H. Russell Community Center, 3521 Carver School Rd. WS NC 27105
    • March 24th (Friday) 9am-4pm – Cancer Awareness WSSU Thompson Center circle
    • April 1st, (Saturday) – 9am-2pm HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk, Bailey Park, 575 N Patterson Ave., Downtown Winston-Salem

    Need Volunteers-Rho Lambda

    I hope this email finds you well. This is just a gentle reminder of our mobile unit event on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 1pm-8p at Innovation Quarter, 575 Patterson Ave in downtown Winston-Salem. The unit is participating in the Juneteenth celebration. The mobile unit will be parked in from of Allegacy Credit Unit near Bailey Park. You can’t miss it. We are excited to partner with BeHCU. We anticipate a large gathering.

     Students and volunteers should arrive by 12:30pm to assist with set up. Parking will be challenging, so come early enough to find appropriate parking.

    Also, next week, Saturday, June 25th, the mobile unit will be at Jehovah Shammah Ministries, 401 Nelson St. in Kernersville NC from 10am-3pm. Students should arrive by 9:30am to assist with set-up.

    I look forward to seeing everyone Saturday. Be safe and enjoy the week.
